What did I learn this week?

Sweater update…

I know, I know, this is all very exciting and you can’t wait to hear how my first baby sweater project is progressing. Tonight we started on the collar, which I can easily finish at home this week. Next Monday is our last class and all that needs to be done to finish up is to sew the side seams and weave in all the loose ends of yarn.

I have decided to knit another using the same pattern, just to get all the techniques firmly in my head. It shouldn’t take too long this time and I think it will be interesting to see how much better the second one will look – at least, I am assuming there would be some visible improvement!

And my next project is of course (what else) – these wool pants for cloth diapered babies!

  1. I love the Picky Pants you’re going to knit. Have you picked a colour? Capri or Long pants? Let me know how it’s going.

  2. I am doing them in a merino wool that is a variegated green and brown, so it comes out as kind of stripy in the stocking stitch. I have just got to the first leg, so it actually shouldn’t take too long to finish. I am hoping to get a flickr page set up with my knitting projects on it soon! But, I can email you a pic anyway when I’m done!
